What about old .doc files?
Only .docx is supported for now. In Word, use “Save As” and choose .docx, then try again.
What is kept?
Headings, bullet lists, numbered lists and tables. Colors and fonts are dropped because Markdown has no such styling.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read and converted only inside your browser. Nothing is sent to any server, so confidential documents are safe.
How do I use the result?
Click [Copy] and paste into ChatGPT or Claude. You can also [Save .md file], or [Open in viewer] to read it as a document and save it as PDF.
